  • CT 10: Domestic Violence

    CT 10: Domestic Violence

This podcast episode broaches the controversial topic of Domestic Violence and Rudy provides his unique insight into this deep social problem.

A new understanding of this topic is necessary if we are to develop an effective approach to prevent violence in relationships. The measures that protect women from immediate danger need to stay in force and available but unfortunately they can only be applied after the event. No existing measures have the capacity to prevent abuse and violence from happening in the first place or stop it from re-occurring in the future.

There cannot be any justification for violence in relationships but making the assumption that the aggressor is exclusively responsible for a dynamic that turns to violence is a misconception. The reality is that, consciously or sub-consciously, each partner makes a contribution to domestic violence or emotional abuse. In other words, were we to go deeper and uncover the core reasons for this behavior, we would find that there are no innocent parties in the true sense of the word…..

  • CT 09: Choice and Purpose

    CT 09: Choice and Purpose

This episode focuses on the power of choice and pits this ideal against the chaotic belief in pre-determinism or karma.

Mark and Rudy discuss how often people give up their power by not taking responsibility for their life experiences. There is a common belief that our lives are driven by forces outside our direct control whether they be universal forces, government, our husband or wife, or our boss at work. This belief is false and counter productive as our power to determine our own path and direct our own lives comes from an understanding that we each create our own reality using belief systems as a focusing tool.

  • CT 08: What is a Belief?

CT 08: What is a Belief?

In this episode Mark and Rudy tackle some big questions about the nature of human existence.

What is the consciousness of a human being?

What is a belief and how does it affect human experience?

We discuss the nature of beliefs and how they affect all aspects of our lives. Beliefs act like a focusing lens on a camera in that they filter our experiences and structure how we experience our reality. Fear based beliefs cause us to experience a distorted version of reality.

The discussion turns to how you can create power in your own life by taking responsibility and discovering self discipline. Beliefs can be used as a tool in your life if they are seen objectively and not seen as a part of your core self.

  • CT 05: Facing Inwards or Outwards

CT 05: Facing Inwards or Outwards

Mark initiates discussion with Rudy about the difference between living your life facing outwards versus living your life with an inward focus. Facing outwards describes a personal psyche that is fear driven whereby there is a belief that negative feelings are caused outside of you by others and that they are to blame for your life events, circumstances, and outcomes. This includes a pertinent discussion on how some of our modern parenting techniques caused fear-based conditioning of young children and how this leads to adults living their lives looking outward for answers which can only be found within.

Rudy gives an example of how unconditional support of a child walking on a tightrope can reinforce a plethora of positive belief systems that will later play out in adulthood. The discussion finally turns to practical advice for how to deal with fear and insecurity in the workplace environment.
