  • Emotional Wellness

    Emotional Wellness

Written for the original markfollett.com and carried over in the 2026 rebuild.

The key to all wellness is your emotional state. I cannot emphasize this point enough so I will also explain it in another way. We are completely contrived physically from our emotional state and all physical traits or ailments have their origins in your emotions.

Many people find this concept difficult to grasp so I will give a plain example. When you walk past the end of the coffee table and you hit your shin on the corner of the table you feel annoyed and embarrassed that you have made this mistake. For a few days after the event you will probably have a bruise on your leg in the location where it struck the coffee table. The reality is that your emotions about the event cause you to manifest a bruise to remind yourself and to display to others that you feel certain strong emotions about the event. I know that you will say that a bruise always occurs after hitting your shins on something because you have created minor internal bleeding under the skin. This is true but the bruise mechanism is just the way in which we are expected to naturally show and express the associated emotions.

I am certain that during your own life you have found that bruises appear and you cannot remember the ‘event’ by which it was caused physically and we dismiss this by saying to ourselves that we must have forgotten how we caused the physical bump. Instead I put this to you as an example where your emotional state alone causes the physical bruise display without any corresponding physical event. In a similar vein, often you will find that your body can receive some heavy knocks and a bruise may not always develop. I am sure you have noted times when you expected a nasty bruise but none appeared. Again I offer this example where the absence of emotional distress about the physical event is tied to the absence of a physical bruise.

This is a simple example of course and there are many more examples I could give you but you will not truly believe this concept unless you have an underlying understanding that your emotions and thoughts are responsible for the creation of your physical reality. There is no exception to this and health issues are always a good example to prove this philosophy to be true. A health problem in the physical self is always linked to an emotional problem that is being expressed. If you understand this concept then you can start to understand that your own state of wellness can be linked back to your emotional state that corresponds. This concept is quite empowering because whatever health issues you have they are able to be treated at the source by addressing the underlying emotional issue. All other treatments are merely masking the symptoms of the problem and this means that the emotional issue will find another way to display in physical terms.

There are a few simple suggestions I have for improving your emotional wellness that in turn will improve your physical form as well:

    • Practice polyphasic sleep patterns
    • Make time everyday for artistic creative outlet. This will ensure that your emotions are expressed through artistic creation and not through physical body manifestations.
    • Find a form of movement or exercise that you love to do and try to fit it into your weekly routine. This is recommended primarily to improve your emotional state so do not concentrate on the physical attributes of your body during the movement, for example tracking heart rate.
  • Body as a Projection of Self Image

Body as a Projection of Self Image

Written for the original markfollett.com and carried over in the 2026 rebuild.

This topic should be read in conjunction with the piece on food beliefs as they are similar in their overarching message that each of us creates our own reality. This means that the way you appear to yourself and others is entirely a projection of your own beliefs, fears, and love manifested into physical reality. There is no exception to this and there are no external influences on your self-image. Only internal influences from your own emotions and thoughts are relevant.

In simple and practical terms this means that the way you look, your body size and shape, the way you move, and all other physical body attributes are created by you alone. You project your own self image. Often this is done over a period of time subconsciously and subtly but any external physical unwanted manifestations are a way for your subconscious mind to communicate with your conscious mind that you have emotional problems caused by fear from holding negative beliefs in your psyche. I have been observing these manifested physical issues in others, and in myself, to attempt a diagnosis of the connection between the physical issue and the underlying emotional fear that caused it. Through my observations I have realized that all disease and all changes in body image can be linked to an emotional or spiritual block or fear. I will share some examples of my observations for context.

    Male pattern baldness

I have noticed that many men lose their hair first at the crown of the head. It occurred to me that this location coincided with the location of the crown chakra which is an energy centre of the body used for divine and spiritual connection. I have noted that men who display baldness at the crown are also very blocked and disconnected from their divine or spiritual self. There seems to be a genetic link whereby a man is likely to end up with the same baldness patterns as their father or maternal grandfather. This link with lineage is due to the passing-down of emotional fears and blocks from parents to children in their young life. Therefore the same emotional issues will manifest the same physical attributes. Going bald at the crown is your body’s way of telling you that you must work on removing your blocks to the divine and spirituality.

    A pain in the neck

Many of us have probably used the saying that someone or something is ‘a pain in the neck.’ There is quite some truth in behind the use of this saying as often the emotional pain coincides with a corresponding physical pain. In these instances clearing the emotional issue will resolve the associated physical pain too.

    Skin changes

I have noticed that because skin changes rapidly at a cellular level, outwards manifestations of inner emotions are displayed on the skin in real-time. What I mean is that changes in the skin are often fast to follow changes in emotions and beliefs. There are many types of displays that people wear openly on their skin that assist in the identification of their emotional issues caused by fear-based beliefs. Examples include moles and freckles, birthmarks, skin lesions, and cold-sores, skin colour and tone and wrinkles, of course.

In each of the examples given it is entirely possible to change the physical manifestations of the way a person looks based on changing the corresponding emotion that is caused by fear-based beliefs. Removing the fear will remove the associated physical ailment or unwanted physical manifestation. This applies without exception as we each create our own reality.

  • Food Beliefs

    Food Beliefs

Written for the original markfollett.com and carried over in the 2026 rebuild.

The common understanding in our world is ‘you are what you eat.’ This is obviously and English language saying but it is a commonly held belief in every culture around the world that food intake is seen as an external influence on a person’s health including their weight, skin condition, and internal organ function. In this situation the scientific information that we can gather would appear to give validity to the common belief that food affects human health but science only relies upon observation of what is normal so therefore a commonly held belief will always appear proven scientifically. This is because we each create our own physical reality, including our own physical form, based on our beliefs.

I am an advocate for sourcing and consuming food that has the best nutrient and energetic value possible and for this reason my diet consists only of natural organic plant and animal based foods. However it would be theoretically possible for me to eat cheap nutrient-devoid fast foods for every meal and still remain fit and healthy if I did not hold a belief that eating fast food makes me sick and gain weight. I say, ‘theoretically’ because some beliefs are hard to break, such as this one regarding food, and I am not in the habit of spending my time and energy breaking beliefs that keep me healthy and offer positive energetic properties for my body and mind.

What I am suggesting is that it is important to understand that your own beliefs surrounding food and health are causing you to manifest yourself in a particular body size, shape, and health level. It is not food itself that influences our form, only our beliefs about food. When a scientist wants to spend some time testing a theory he/she will often start with testing a commonly held belief such as ‘eating too much sugar makes you fat.’ Of course the sample of people involved in the scientific study is chosen to represent a ‘normal’ cross section of the community and when results are obtained any outlying results and dismissed as statistical anomalies. Science should be investigating the beliefs of those people who’s results fell well outside the normal population for those sampled in the experiment because there you will find people who are creating a different physical reality due to their different belief system.

How does this apply to you practically today?

When you eat your next meal be present and conscious in your own thoughts throughout the experience. You will find that your conscious thoughts will be a signpost to your own beliefs about food and health. These thoughts may include for example: ‘I put way too much sugar on my cereal, I should cut back so I don’t gain weight,’ or ‘I need a strong coffee first thing in the morning to help me wake up because I am always tired.’ There are, of course, almost infinite thoughts you may have and these examples are given so you will understand the type of thoughts you may have that would lead you to uncover your beliefs about food. Again I will point out that this exercise is important because your beliefs, betrayed by your thoughts, create your physical form.

I will offer you some good news to end this topic however. Consciously working on identifying your thoughts and uncovering your beliefs will enable you to make changes to your beliefs that will eventually correspond with a change in physical form. The method is simple but requires the reader to be mindful of their own thoughts. You have a conscious mind that can be used to change these thoughts that seem to bubble-up from the subconscious space. This is achieved by writing down the alternative thoughts you associate with a belief that better aligns with your preferred physical form. These new thoughts can then be embedded through reading them out aloud or within your head several times per day. Slowly but surely your thoughts will change your beliefs, then your beliefs will change your physical form.

  • Sleep Patterns for Channeling

    Sleep Patterns for Channeling

Written for the original markfollett.com and carried over in the 2026 rebuild.

Many people share the belief that the healthiest form of sleep pattern is to get one large block of 8 to 10 hours at night. This goes with the old saying “early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.” This method of sleep is also suggested by most modern health advocates to promote a healthy mind and body. Generally the amount of sleep in total hours per 24 hour period is being suggested by health advocates is correct, between 8 and 10 hours total.

What is not being considered by most people is that the optimum human sleep pattern is actually polyphasic which is a fancy name for having more than one block of sleep per day. Many countries around the world have used this sleep pattern for their entire cultural history and it is still often used in modern day society. This includes Spanish and Italian cultures in the habit of taking an afternoon sleep after lunch for a few hours. Our family refers-to our day sleep as a siesta after the Spanish name given to sleeping in this way.

The ideal pattern of sleep for an adult is eight hours sleep total taken in two blocks of four hours or a block of three plus a block of five. My personal favourite routine is to sleep from 11pm to 4am and 3pm to 6pm. Unfortunately I am only able to use this pattern on the weekend so during the week I sleep much less by using the alternate pattern of 11pm to 4am and 7pm to 8pm for a total block of 6 hours sleep.

The important aspect is to never sleep for longer than five hours in one block. It is also preferable to break up the total waking hours as evenly as possible with your current work circumstances. There are many benefits to be gained by using this alternative pattern as further described.

Increased ability for psychic and channeled work

I have noticed that by staying in polyphasic sleep patterns consistently I am better attuned to receive psychic messages and spiritual suggestions. There are times during this sleep cycle when I feel groggy, like after my one hour catch-up nap, and these times are the best for receiving accurate psychic messages because the ego mind is less equipped to get involved and distort the message through a fear filter. Your overall body and mind stress levels are lower also and this contributes to being better open to etheric connection.

    Decreased need for nutrient supplementation

As part of a normal busy stressful lifestyle it is almost impossible to obtain correct levels of some nutrients entirely from food. For example I have historically needed zinc, b-group vitamins, and cod liver oil on a daily basis to supplement my usual healthy dietary intake of nutrient dense foods. I found that when I changed to polyphasic sleep patterns my need for these supplements disappeared and I now maintain healthy levels of body nutrients by obtaining the required levels from my food alone. I believe there are two factors at play here. Firstly, I am less prone to stress each day and therefore burn through less of my nutrient stores. There is then a balance created between the nutrient input levels from food and my body’s usage levels. Secondly, the use of nutrient supplementation is not required because my body has adequate time to rest and digest food properly hence I obtain all the available nutrients through the proper digestive process.

Increased overall brain function and cognition

Using a polyphasic sleep pattern and not sleeping more than 5 hours in one block has significantly reduced brain fogginess and improved my overall brain function and cognition in everyday life and work scenarios. This has meant that I sleep less hours overall compared with my old sleep patterns but this has actually increased my ability to concentrate and solve problems.

    Heightened emotional awareness

In a similar way to what I have described above for brain function, a change to polyphasic sleep has led me to a better connection with my emotional heart function as well. I have combined my new sleep patterns with the use of essential oils to open up my emotional availability to my loved family and friends whilst also being able to clearly see and cut negative emotional feelings and ties to others where appropriate.

  • Evolution of Human Consciousness

    Evolution of Human Consciousness

Lately I have been more and more so developing my trust in my own intuition and urges towards action. This is important because I believe that my urges toward action guide me towards fulfilling my greatest potential. Not necessarily my potential in the way I used to think of it but rather my potential in terms of the greatest value and intent behind my being. To this end I have the urge to write some thoughts on how humans came to be….

I have long been a believer of science over religion in the way in which human and earthly physical reality came into being. I have always aligned my thoughts with the theories of Darwin regarding the survival of the fittest. Whilst I have not personally read any of Darwin’s works, his theories were the basis for my school education and therefore were the basis upon which I formed my beliefs. Alternately I was also exposed to the Christian faith beliefs described in the Bible whereby an interventionist God made the world and everything in it within a matter of 7 days.

Taken at face value the scientific theories seem to offer a more believable and accurate account of the likely reasons for being. There are certain discoveries made regularly that would seem to indicate that our human species evolved physically over millions of years from the gradual evolution of various animal species infused with spurts of quick changes through genetic mutation. The alternate religious beliefs seem to be proven incorrect through the immense fossil records that have been discovered that seem to prove that species such as dinosaurs existed sometime in the distant past much before human existence.

Lately I have come to a new understanding of how we are created that takes elements from both the evolution and biblical theories but indicates a far greater personal validity and power. The problem I have with the current theory of evolution is that it is based on a belief in the survival of the fittest species through the survival of the fittest individuals within that species. This runs at odds with current human experience as we do not only allow our fittest to reproduce, or fight with each other for purposes of physical survival just to make sure only the strong survive whilst the weak do not. This kind of thinking drove Hitler to strive for the world to be populated by the strongest, fittest Arian race. There are many examples within the animal kingdom also where the strongest of the species do not necessarily survive at the expense of the weak. There is a much greater sense of cooperation that this theory would allow. There is great cooperation between animals within a species, between different animal species and between animals and man.

If Darwin is correct in his theory regarding evolution being a result of millions of years of selective breeding and survival of the fittest then where does the human species fit. Are we to believe that humans are no longer a part of nature and subject to the ‘laws’ that govern the natural world? If this is the case, then at what precise point did we fracture our species away from being underneath the umbrella of the natural world. These questions only arise because we are taught a theory that does not seem to play out in our current world experience and yet we are expected to believe that in the past the natural world evolved through survival of the fittest but that this is no longer occurring due to the influence of man. When I look around at the natural world as it exists today and really question what I see and then listen to my own intuition for the answers I seek, then I realize that all the elements of the natural world exist in cooperation with each other. I see that humans and animals rely on each other in order for each to expand the quality of life and richness of experience.

The creation theories of the Bible are perplexing because they rely upon several underlying beliefs that form a shaky footing for the creation theory. To accept the story of Adam and Eve one must first believe that there is a single entity, God, who is able to create worlds in days but who did not intervene to any great degree in anything that transpired since. I draw parallels here with the theory of evolution as again we are expected to believe that a process occurred in the distant past that no longer occurs in today’s modern planetary life. Are we to also believe that this fundamental change in processes is as a result of human influence? As with the evolution theory, I seek the truth in my own intuitive observations of my current experiences of the world and I see no correlations that would lead me to believe in an interventionist God personality as surely there are many aspects of the modern world that could well use this intervention.

Both the evolution and creation theories diminish the belief in the personal power of each individual consciousness. But what is consciousness and how can consciousness relate to individual power? In a way consciousness is the energy that drives the existence of matter in all of its various forms. Consciousness longs to create and fulfill its value in all shapes and sizes and this includes human form. Consciousness is like Lego building blocks (I will liken it to Lego blocks for the sake of this analogy). Each block is a different shape, size and colour due to the intent of the consciousness that created each individual block. The block is formed physically from the influence that consciousness has over the interaction of the molecular structure of atomic particles. Further, consciousness does not only influence the atomic particles but provides the energy for those particles to exist, move and cooperate with each other to create matter. So each “block” is formed by consciousness in the manner in which that consciousness intended to fulfill its value. Think of these blocks as human body cells and parts.

When several pieces of Lego blocks are connected together this is also done with the intent to create something different and unique so that a new item is made that has a greater meaning than does just the collection of individual blocks that were used to create it. For example, a few hundred blocks of different shapes, colours, and sizes may be used to create a model aircraft shape and in this way the blocks have both an individual intent to exist and a collective intent to exist as an aircraft shape. Of course there are infinite gestalt shapes that can be formed from the jointing of many individual blocks. In the same way our bodily organs, tissues, and systems are formed from groupings of individual cells. In this way the human body, in its physical matter form only, has a gestalt consciousness as well as infinite numbers of individual cellular consciousness that are used to form it. This does not yet consider the input of our waking conscious mind but we will do this now.

The building blocks of physical life, the cells, are formed by the intent of their own consciousness. But this does not explain how these individual cells manage to cooperate together to form a human being. When human life is conceived there is only one cell formed through the connection of two gametes provided by the parents of the new human life. From this point onwards the cell is essentially a blank canvas or, to stick with the analogy, a universally adaptable Lego block. It is at this point that human consciousness starts to influence the behaviour of the stem cells as the intent of human consciousness is to create human form that matches with the size, shape, and colour specifications of that intent. In this way the human form exists as consciousness that then impresses influence over the interactions of the cellular building blocks so that eventually a human gestalt form is created in the image of human consciousness. But why is this important to understand in relation to the evolution or creation theories?

All consciousness is made of God stuff. In this way God exists within, and provides the energy behind, every probable variety of consciousness. God energy has but one intent and that is to create. If you consider that we are each created from God energy at every moment of every day at both a cellular level and the level at which we are physically human, then it is important to understand that we are made of God energy and have the innate creativity, power, energy, and love that exists within God. So do all other physical and non-physical beings as they are all created from the same God energy through the building blocks of consciousness. So our intent to create, to change, to experience the physical and non-physical through our senses, is all due to the intent of God energy such that our individual intent is aligned with the intent of everything and with God. We are God and this engenders a great level of power and responsibility, a personal power that is greatly lacking in Biblical teachings of the theories of how we came to exist. We create ourselves in each moment through God’s intent to exist through us whilst at the same time we cooperate with the intent of God’s consciousness to create our cells, organs and tissues.

The framework of existence described here involves a great cooperation of all consciousness to work together to form the physical world and everything in it. As humans we know, at a subconscious level, the inner workings of our bodies and all the other humans and animals on the planet. We cooperate each moment with all other human consciousness, animal consciousness, plant consciousness, rock consciousness etc. to form the physical world that we then experience. This is the flaw in Darwinian thinking as it assumes that there is not such a level of cooperation and that each species is at odds with the others in a constant struggle for survival. What I see when I observe the natural world with my physical senses and my intuition indicates to me that there is a great level of cooperation between all consciousness that is physically manifest. The intent of a coffee mug is to exist in a shape such that it can hold liquid and when I use it to drink from then I match my intent with the intent of the cup and we cooperate to create an experience of physical reality. I have three rabbits as pets and I observe in them the great level of cooperative interaction and communication between each other, with our pet dog, and with the human inhabitants of the household.

If I were in a survival situation in a bush setting, then I may trap and eat a rabbit to sustain my life (if I was clever enough to catch one) but in this act there would also be a great level of cooperation. My intent to sustain my physical existence through eating the rabbit would align with the intent of the rabbit’s consciousness to experience life through various forms. By consuming the rabbit it’s consciousness would merge with mine such that my cells would be sustained by the cellular materials of its body and thus the rabbit’s consciousness would then ‘see out through my eyes’ and experience consciousness from a human perspective.

We are human and yet made of God. We each create ourselves and co-create our physical reality to fulfill the intent of the God energy that forms us. We then experience physical reality as a mirror in the human constructs of space and time so that we can tease apart the experiences of reality such that they can be understood and interpreted by our mind and our consciousness. This is the manner in which we learn and in turn we add to the greater experience of the collective God energy. The world was not created by God nor by scientific mutations but the physical world is created each day anew by each of us as we set our intent to form ourselves, to organise the formation of our physical body, and as we set out intent to cooperate with the intent of all consciousness to form the physical reality that we experience. We are powerful beings made of God-energy and we are the creators of our physical world in each moment. We must take responsibility therefore for the physical existence we are creating.

We each have great abilities to connect with the inner knowledge of all physical existence and all consciousness. These abilities are there to assist us to fulfill our greatest value in life but we seldom rely upon them. This is a topic for another day….
